What happens if the top X players agree to chop the prize?
If the venue pays on the spot, they may already have a check made out, so it will be the responsibility of the winner to distribute the monies accordingly.
If a check is being mailed, we will ONLY send one check to the winner. It will be the responsibility of this person to distribute monies to the other players.
Bar Game Promotions and the Interstate Poker Club are not responsible for any monies not paid out by a winner who has agreed to chop a prize.
How is the prize money paid?
Payment type will vary by location and could be made in the form of cash, check, pre-paid debit card, or via electronic transfer through services such as Paypal, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle. Ask your Tournament Director to confirm which payment method is used at your tournament.
Any fees associated with cashing or depositing the check lie solely with the person to whom the prize is awarded.
When will I receive my money?
Many locations pay out on the spot, but in some cases you may need to wait for a check to be mailed to you.
The venue paid out less than what was advertised on your website. What can I do about it?
All freeroll prizes are the responsibility of the venue at which they are awarded. If a venue chooses to pay less than what was agreed, you should speak with the manager at the venue. Bar Game Promotions and the Interstate Poker Club are not responsible for any freeroll prize that is either underpaid or not paid by a venue.
Tournaments with a crown icon () require a certain number of donations in order to fund the prize pool, so these tournaments may award more or less than the advertised amount.
